Dan Moore Interview

In 1979, Dan Moore, a Ph.D. student at The Ohio State University, ventured into the film industry as a production assistant on “BRUBAKER,” launching a career in costume design. Over three decades, Moore designed costumes for numerous films and TV productions, earning accolades like an Emmy for “The Magnificent 7” and a nomination for the Costume Designers Guild award for “61*”. Collaborations with directors like Rob Reiner on projects such as “LBJ” and “SHOCK AND AWE” showcased Moore’s talent for capturing characters within historical narratives. Closing his career with “GREEN BOOK” in 2018, Moore now focuses on producing compelling content with broad appeal under the Sheridan Film Company banner, based in New Orleans.
